Do Hookers Kiss? is a quarterly literary review of erotic fiction, flash-fiction and poetry. Like its sister magazine, Kerouac’s Dog it’s a fiercely independent publication, carrying absolutely no advertising, no advert-led editorial, and no classifieds.

THE VERY BEST IN EROTIC NEW WRITING
We represent the newest, bravest, and most exciting writing talent for the discerning lover of erotic fiction. Do Hookers Kiss? is an opportunity for established and aspiring writers from all over the world to exhibit their work to a global audience. It’s a place to be published and be seen; in a publication that will not exist in any other format, online or otherwise.

LONG LIVE PRINT.
Keeping print alive in a truly independent, printed publication in a digital world is really important. We’re not trying to say that print is in any way archaic, but in a digital age, getting stuff on paper; in black and white; in something real and tangible, is incredibly exciting – especially for creative people. In fact, having something that you can hold; that you can thumb through – rather than click-through, scroll through, or touchpad flick-through – is still an exceptionally beautiful thing. It still means something. It’s evocative, it’s resonant, and it stays with you.

OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH ADVERTISING
Well, there isn’t one. Do Hookers Kiss? is 100% independent. We think that advertising would get in the way of the whole thing – spoil the momentum, you know. A magazine without advertising, we thought, is a lot more wholesome, a lot more creative, and a lot more fun.

IT’S MORE ABOUT PASSION, CREATIVITY AND HAVING A FUCK-LOAD OF FUN, THAN ANYTHING ELSE
Like Kerouac’s Dog, Do Hookers Kiss? has started as an independent, and we want to continue to be independent. Many independents around today, started off the same as we did, and have, for one reason or another, given in to advertising, and brand and organisation collaboration – mainly for financial reasons. True independence is our raison d’être. It’s a tough ideal to live by, especially when you’re totally self-funded – but it’s something we think is worth fighting for.

WHY NOW?
Weirdly, there’s never been a better time for independent publishing. Yes there’s been a downturn, yes there’s a lot of doom and gloom, but we’re catering for those audiences dissatisfied by mainstream titles – and we’re flourishing. Do Hookers Kiss has really resonated with writers, as well as aficionados of erotica, of print, and of underground press.
